I came to yoga because of my anxiety disorder. It was recommended by a friend as a simple way to get some exercise and possibly some serotonin. I found that this practice is so much more than exercise (even though it does have tons of effects on the body). I wasted no time in taking my teacher training certification. In the 7 years since, I've grown into a full time teacher with a passion for this practice. |
I am a 200 hour certified teacher, specializing in the effect yoga has on anxiety and trauma. I 'm skilled in partner yoga and hands-on assists in postures, meditation and pranayama (breath) practices, and anatomy. I am becoming certified in Yoga for All, an inclusive training designed for all bodies. This allows me to rearrange the practice to suit the persons needs, not the other way around. |
